A $150 price cut brings both versions of the Wahoo Kickr Core 2 smart indoor bike trainer to $399.99 at Wahoo and Amazon, against a standard listing of $549.99, according to current retail pages. The discount applies to the Cog and Click model, which fits 8- to 13-speed drivetrains, and to a second configuration that ships with an 11-speed cassette already installed.

What the Kickr Core 2 does

The unit mounts to a road bike. From there it connects to iOS, Android, or PC over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, allowing training apps to adjust resistance automatically mid-workout. Interactive riding platforms can use the same connection to replicate inclines and pace group events in real time. Zwift, one of the more widely used of those platforms, supports the trainer for group rides, challenges, and races with other users.

ANT+ lets the trainer pull data directly from heart rate monitors and cadence sensors, without an additional bridge device.

The Cog and Click version adds handlebar-mounted controllers for in-ride virtual gear shifts. The cassette model skips the controllers and ships instead with the 11-speed cassette already fitted.

Costco members can order the Dell UltraSharp 32-inch 6K monitor for $799.99, $200 below its standard price. The IPS panel runs at 60Hz and resolves at 6,144 by 3,456 pixels. Ports include Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, and 2.5GbE Ethernet. A built-in webcam and KVM switching for multiple systems are also included.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for Nintendo Switch 2 is $31.99 at Woot, against a regular price of $59.99. The title is a remaster of the original GameCube release, running a turn-based RPG format that includes puzzle sequences and character ability upgrades.
