What separates the Max from the Plus
The 4K Max carries 16GB of internal storage and a Wi-Fi 6E radio, while the 4K Plus ships with less storage and Wi-Fi 6. The Max is the only model in the lineup that supports the Fire TV Ambient Experience, which turns the television into a display that shows artwork and Alexa widgets such as calendar entries and sticky notes when no content is playing.
Both devices support Dolby Vision and HDR10 Plus for video. Dolby Atmos audio works on compatible sound systems. Both run Amazon's updated Fire TV interface, which pulls recommendations from across a user's streaming subscriptions and organizes content into dedicated hubs for TV shows, sports, and other categories. Users can pin up to 20 apps.
Alexa Plus and smart home controls
Each stick includes Alexa Plus integration. Users can launch content from specific streaming services or search for particular scenes by voice. Alexa can also control compatible smart home devices and display a live feed from connected Ring cameras on the television.
