Zacks names Perion, Griffon, and Goldman Sachs BDC as top value picks

Zacks Investment Research identified three stocks with a #1 rank and strong value characteristics for investors on October 9. The firms selected were Perion Network Ltd. (PERI), Griffon Corporation (GFF), and Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc. (GSBD). Each company currently holds a Zacks Rank of #1, which the research firm designates as a Strong Buy recommendation.

Zacks Investment Research identified three stocks with a #1 rank and strong value characteristics for investors on October 9. The firms selected were Perion Network Ltd. (PERI), Griffon Corporation (GFF), and Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc. (GSBD). Each company currently holds a Zacks Rank of #1, which the research firm designates as a Strong Buy recommendation.

Perion Network Ltd., an integrated digital advertising solutions provider, led the list with a Zacks Value Score of A. The company’s price-to-earnings ratio stands at 7.42, significantly lower than the S&P 500 average of 22.67. Over the last 60 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for Perion’s current year earnings increased by 14.7%.

Griffon Corporation, a diversified management and holding company, also carried a Zacks Rank of #1. It holds a Zacks Value Score of B, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 14.91 compared to the S&P 500 benchmark of 22.67. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Griffon’s next year earnings rose by 5.5% during the same 60-day period.

Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc., a business development company, rounded out the selection with a Zacks Value Score of B. Its price-to-earnings ratio is 6.85, which is below the industry average of 8.00. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the firm’s current year earnings increased by 12.2% over the last 60 days.

The report noted that these selections are part of a broader list of Zacks #1 Rank stocks available for review. Zacks Investment Research published the analysis on its website, zacks.com, offering investors a snapshot of value-oriented opportunities within its coverage universe.
