Shannon Elizabeth's OnlyFans launch topped $1.2 million in first-week earnings, Variety reported, as she rules out dating after her divorce from Simon Borchert

CAPE TOWN, Aug 16. More than $1.2 million came in during Shannon Elizabeth's first week on OnlyFans after she launched in April, Variety reported. The actress known for "American Pie," whose divorce from Simon Borchert was finalized in May, told Bill Maher's "Club Random" podcast she has no interest in dating again.

Elizabeth said she had been living off savings for ten years as acting roles became less frequent. She told Variety the platform provided a financial lifeline through her divorce and now gives her the ability to choose projects based on interest rather than financial necessity.

Her OnlyFans content does not currently include nudity. She told Maher she is still working out where her limits are and expects to push them as she grows more comfortable, adding that she intends to keep an element of mystery. A portion of her earnings goes to her wildlife conservation nonprofit.

From Cape Town, with no return to dating expected

Elizabeth relocated to South Africa in 2016 to focus on wildlife conservation and remains based in Cape Town. When Maher asked about the local dating scene, she said she is newly single and plans to stay that way. She cited distrust and "too many con artists" as her reasons, and said the subscriber relationships she is building on OnlyFans supply the connections she needs.

Maher pushed back. He said he had heard similar declarations from many people, including other celebrities, shortly after becoming single. He pointed to Halle Berry, who had said publicly she would not marry again before marrying actor Olivier Martinez in 2013. Berry and Martinez filed for divorce in 2015. Elizabeth said she remains settled in her position.

Elizabeth told Fox News Digital she is not concerned about criticism the platform attracts, saying supporters have outweighed detractors in her experience. She told Variety she wishes she had launched sooner. She said the technology for what she is doing now was not available 25 years ago when she would have wanted it. She advises other actresses to try it, noting they can stop whenever they choose, and said she has already spoken to friends about joining the platform.

She also said she wants to direct and work behind the camera. She is currently directing and producing her own OnlyFans content.
