Two Channels, Similar Clearance on the 256GB
The parallel pricing at Amazon and Best Buy puts the 256GB S26 Ultra within $15 of each other across the two largest U.S. consumer electronics retailers. Amazon is also moving the 512GB variant at $1,119.99, down from $1,499.99. The discounts arrive roughly three months after the phone's March launch, an unusually short runway to a meaningful markdown on a top-tier Samsung flagship.
What the S26 Ultra Ships With
The S26 Ultra carries a 6.9-inch display and four rear cameras anchored by a 200-megapixel main sensor and dual telephoto lenses. Internal storage on the 256GB model is paired with 12GB of memory. The phone supports fast charging at up to 60 watts with a compatible charger and includes a built-in S Pen stylus with a dedicated storage slot in the chassis. Samsung positions the S26 Ultra as the only model in the S26 lineup to feature its new Privacy Display.
The Privacy Display: How It Works
The Privacy Display limits what people at off-angles can see on the screen, functioning similarly to a physical privacy screen protector but built into the panel itself. Users can toggle it on and off or restrict it to the notification layer — useful, per Samsung's framing, for situations where a user wants to share on-screen content without exposing incoming messages. The feature mutes color accuracy to some degree when active, more noticeably on the notifications setting.
One Notable Omission
The S26 Ultra does not include Qi2 magnet hardware, which matters for users who rely on MagSafe-style wireless accessory ecosystems. Samsung's own documentation suggests buyers who want that functionality pick up a compatible case separately. The phone otherwise ships with standard wireless charging capability.
