The Philadelphia Eagles released quarterback Andy Dalton on Friday, ending his tenure with the team after a single interception during a Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears.
The move occurred before the Eagles departed for London to play the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dalton, 38, entered the game against the Bears after starter Jalen Hurts left with an injury.

Following the play, the Eagles promoted Tanner McKee to backup quarterback, moving Dalton to the third string. The release formally removed the three-time Pro Bowler from the roster.
