Apple raised prices across its Mac and iPad lineup, citing rising memory chip costs, in a move that landed during Amazon Prime Day.

Inventory at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco is still tagged at pre-hike levels — producing gaps of $110 to $800 below Apple's revised retail figures — and none of the three chains has announced a timeline for resetting their pricing.

Retail Stock Has Not Yet Caught Up to Apple's New Price Sheet The sharpest visible gap is in the MacBook Air.

Apple's 13-inch M5 model, which previously started at $1,099, is on sale at $949 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco; Apple's updated price for that machine is $1,299, leaving a $350 spread.
