The White House labeled The Chicks frontwoman Natalie Maines a "despicable nobody" with a "peanut-sized brain" in response to her recent criticisms of President Donald Trump.
The administration issued the statement to Fox News Digital, asserting that Maines suffers from "Trump Derangement Syndrome" that has "rotted her peanut-sized brain." This sharp rebuke followed Maines' performance in Manhattan this week, where she kicked off the band's anniversary tour for "Taking the Long Way" alongside bandmates Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire.
During the show, Maines revived criticism of former President George W. Bush that had drawn significant backlash more than two decades ago.
According to Billboard, Maines stated she would never submit to the "shut up and sing" brigade, referencing the 2003 controversy surrounding her comments about Bush.
