Manus to return as independent company after China forces Meta to unwind $2 billion deal

A $2 billion Meta acquisition of artificial intelligence company Manus is being unwound after China intervened, with Manus set to resume operations as a standalone.

Meta disclosed the planned purchase last December, describing it at the time as its latest effort to shore up its AI strategy.
