Joby Aviation jumps 9% on raised guidance as Archer and EHang sit out the eVTOL rally

Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY) shares climbed 9% to $8.47 by midday Thursday after the electric air taxi maker raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $115 million to $125 million and reported second-quarter revenue that beat the Street consensus by 27.2%.

Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) and EHang Holdings (NASDAQ: EH) did not follow the move. Q2 results and the guidance raise Joby's second-quarter revenue came in at $38.6 million against a $30.4 million consensus estimate.

GAAP earnings per share were -$0.25, compared with a -$0.2345 estimate. The company reported approximately $2.3 billion in cash and short-term investments as of June 30.

The raised guidance, up from a prior range of $105 million to $115 million, was powered by the Blade passenger business.
