Global liquidity, not Fed policy, may set crypto's September course

Global liquidity conditions could matter more than the Federal Reserve's next rate decision for crypto markets this September, according to Utkarsh Ahuja, founder and managing partner at Moon Pursuit Capital.

Ahuja made the case in a note shared with Cryptoprowl, arguing that even a price pullback next month would not necessarily mark the start of a broader downturn.

"Monetary policy, inflation, global money supply, credit creation and financial conditions are becoming increasingly important to the direction of risk assets," Ahuja wrote.

Crypto, he added, "sits particularly close to that intersection because it trades globally, around the clock, and tends to respond quickly to changes in liquidity and risk appetite." September as a reset, not a reversal Ahuja said crypto could move into volatility or consolidation in September.
