US$1.744 billion in new strategic projects and investments, spread across 105 allocations, was disclosed Tuesday by Future Fund Oman, according to a release from the fund.
Future Fund Oman is a portfolio of the Oman Investment Authority, the Sultanate of Oman's sovereign wealth fund. The fund's capital base Future Fund Oman carries a total size of US$5.2 billion.
The US$1.744 billion announced Tuesday represents a new package within that base. The release provided no sector breakdown, no individual project names, and no deployment timeline.
Parent structure The Oman Investment Authority manages the Sultanate's sovereign assets. Future Fund Oman operates as one of its portfolios.
