Newly released Florida Highway Patrol dashcam footage shows a state trooper weaving through hundreds of stopped vehicles on Interstate 75 before a pursuit that authorities said reached 140 mph.
Yulian Lugo, 25, was arrested near mile marker 266 in Thonotosassa and faces two felony charges following the incident, which began around 1:30 a.m.
What the dashcam shows The trooper's emergency lights and sirens are active as the patrol vehicle approaches a complete blockage of all northbound I-75 lanes in the footage.
People can be seen running between vehicles; others returned to their cars as law enforcement closed in. The trooper worked through the standstill before accelerating after a green BMW as the crowd began to disperse.
